From High School Hallways to Forever
Their journey began in high school, with a sweet, and slightly magical, interaction at a football game. Emma told Andrew he looked like Harry Potter. A spark lit that night, one only her best friend could see, and it would slowly turn into a decade-long love story.
By senior year, that spark grew into something undeniable after Emma posted on Snapchat asking if anyone wanted to try the cupcakes she baked. Andrew was the one who replied. From that moment on, he became her “little cupcake,” with his curly hair like frosting and his heart full of sweetness.
A Love Built on Loyalty and Laughter
From that playful beginning grew a relationship grounded in devotion. Andrew always admired Emma’s compassionate heart, her quirky habits that made him smile, and the way she never missed a chance to gift something meaningful.
Emma knew he was the one because he always showed up for her,after work, during long-distance stretches in college, and even if it meant watching her do homework. They weren’t flashy or performative, they were consistent, loyal, and real. “Old soul” love, as Emma calls it.
A Proposal with a Twist
The proposal felt like something out of a rom-com. Emma believed she was heading into the city for Christmas shopping with Andrew’s sister. The outfit coordination requests were her first clue that something was up.
After hours in Chicago, just as Emma started to think it wasn’t happening, they made their way to Millennium Park. The Bean was under construction (cue slight panic). They pivoted to the fountain on the north side of the park. There, Andrew got down on one knee, and Emma “blacked out” in the best way.
Little did Andrew know, Emma had already caught a hint. A week before, she accidentally signed for a package from their favorite jeweler, New York Jewelers. She played it cool, even lied to Andrew for the first time, just to keep the surprise alive.
A Church Meant for a Love Like Theirs
Emma and Andrew chose to say “I do” at Saint Mary of the Angels, a breathtaking church with soft pastel ceilings, dramatic old-world architecture, and an aisle that stretched 144 feet long.
For Emma, that aisle was everything. It gave her the space to slow down and soak in every meaningful glance, every breathless second. From the moment she toured it, she knew it was the place her heart had already chosen.
The Geraghty: Where Dreams Became Reality
The reception took place at The Geraghty, a venue that Emma said felt made for her. Its tagline, “A venue of possibilities,” resonated deeply, especially coming from a small town where options felt limited.
She wanted something grand, polished, and emotionally rich, just like the weddings of her older cousins who had big Chicago celebrations. But what really sold her was Jordan Jasin, who made the process easy, collaborative, and fun. From the lighting to the design to the tiniest detail, the entire team brought Emma’s vision to life with such care that she cried when she saw it all come together.
A Honeymoon Adventure to Remember
Right now, the couple is soaking in 25 days of pure honeymoon magic. They began in Australia, exploring Sydney, Cairns, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Perth, and will wrap up their journey in the Maldives in a luxurious overwater villa.
It’s not just a vacation. It’s a celebration of 10 years of loyalty, laughter, and love, and the start of something new.
