They first met through mutual friends, and within hours of their first date, Renee knew something was different. “Dana made me laugh for hours when we first went out together. At Park & Oak Parlour, surrounded by their closest friends, Dana asked Renee to marry him. The University Club of Chicago was a dream come true for Renee. Years earlier, she had visited with friends, enjoying dinner outside while taking in views of the city and lake. I was brought to tears several times during the speeches as we sat at the table with our wedding party, our six kids, my sister, and brother-in-law. “Hire a really good planner that is there the day of! Our planner managed everything and didn’t even tell me about any issues that were happening. It felt like everything went smoothly, but I know it took a lot of work behind the scenes to make it feel that way.”
