From the moment Scott sent that first message on Hinge and received a reply, their journey together began with a spark that quickly turned into an inseparable bond. A promise was made to show him all that South Carolina has to offer, and that promise was kept. From then on, they were inseparable, and their connection only grew stronger over the 2.5 years they’ve been together. We are thrilled to share the photos from this beautiful wedding in Rockford.
The Perfect Proposal
Scott felt like home to Emma from day one. It was a feeling that was both eerie and comforting, as if they had known each other for years. Their connection was undeniable, and as they spent more time together, it became clear that they were meant to be. In May of 2023, during a trip to Savannah, Georgia, Scott knew it was time to take their relationship to the next level. On Memorial Day, at the beautiful Fountain at Forsyth Park, he got down on one knee and asked Emma to be his forever. A friend, secretly staying nearby, captured the unforgettable moment, preserving the joy and love they shared.
The Dress
As Emma prepared for her big day, finding the perfect wedding dress was a priority. She visited New York Bride & Groom of Columbia with a close friend, searching for a gown that would be timeless, elegant, and sophisticated. When she found the dress, it was like magic. The dress fit her like a glove, hugging all the right curves, and she knew it was the one. The moment she tried it on is one she’ll cherish forever.
Reflecting on the Wedding
The wedding itself was a beautiful reflection of their love and style, inspired by Venetian gardens. The atmosphere was enhanced with stunning candelabras and floral arrangements, creating a romantic and timeless setting. Emma and Scott shared a private and intimate first look that set the tone for the day. The anticipation of seeing Scott before walking down the aisle was the only thing on Emma’s mind as she got ready. She shared with his sisters that all she wanted was to be with him, her best friend and soon-to-be husband.
Advice
For future couples, Emma and Scott have some heartfelt advice: Enjoy the moment and don’t take yourself too seriously! As long as you both make it down the aisle and say “I Do,” nothing else matters. This wisdom is a testament to their love and the joy they found in celebrating their union.
