Love has a way of finding us when we least expect it, and for Dhara and Nirav, fate had a delightful surprise in store. As their wedding photography company, we had the honor of capturing their extraordinary love story on April 7th, 2023. This day that marked their 7-year golden anniversary. From their serendipitous meeting on a dating app to a beautiful Indian wedding at home, every moment was filled with joy, romance, and cherished memories.

In the Beginning

Dhara and Nirav’s paths intertwined through the virtual world of Coffee Meets Bagel, a dating app that led them to each other. Little did they know that years before, they were neighbors during their high school days. Despite their proximity, their paths never crossed until fate brought them together online. It was as if destiny had given them a second chance at love. It wasn’t always an easy road in their relationship and had a lot of tough situations very early on. Despite that, quitting was never an option but rather how do they concur the obstacles in their path. Once they recognized that that was always the first thought, Dhara and Nirav always knew they would be together.

A Heartfelt Proposal

Nirav’s proposal to Dhara was a testament to their shared history and cherished memories. Surrounded by roses, twinkling lights, and candles, he recreated the enchanting setup from their first Valentine’s Day. On that day, Nirav had cooked dinner but lacked a table, so he ingeniously used a bedside table instead. Continuing the tradition, he set up the same table for the proposal, complete with surprises hidden in the table’s drawers.

In the drawers, she discovered two cans of the very same beer they enjoyed on their first date. And to sweeten the moment, he included her favorite chocolate-covered pretzels. The proposal was made even more unforgettable with the presence of their dogs. Their four-legged friends eagerly shared in their joy and happiness.

No-Stress Wedding Day

Dhara and Nirav’s wedding day was a celebration of love, intimacy, and togetherness. Opting for an intimate Indian wedding at home, they were relieved of the rush and pressure often associated with traditional wedding venues. The couple was able to cherish every moment, and be truly be present.

Before the ceremony, Dhara and Nirav chose to have a first look. They want to wait to see each other in their wedding attire. The emotions captured in those photographs reflected their genuine excitement and profound joy at seeing one another. They were ready to embark on their lifelong journey together.

One unique aspect that made their wedding day even more remarkable was the post-ceremony family nap. After exchanging vows, the couple and their loved ones gathered in the living room for a collective moment of rest. It was a beautiful testament to their close-knit bond. They could now create new memories together.

Late-Night Dress Shopping

Dhara’s wedding dress journey was a unique one. Dhara was unable to accompany her mother to India for the traditional dress shopping experience. She relied on photos and inspiration to guide her loved ones’ search. She would wake up in the middle of the night to call her mom and aunt, who searched for the perfect gown.

Through countless late-night conversations, they found a dress that Dhara couldn’t help but gravitate towards. With its elegance, simplicity, and the colors she had always dreamed of, it was a dress that perfectly embodied her unique style and vision for her wedding day.

The Perfect Day

The Dhara and Nirav’s love story, from their chance encounter on a dating app to a heartfelt proposal and a joyous Indian wedding at home, is a testament to the power of fate and the beauty of love. Anyone could tell that this couple was in love. The day was filled with constant laughter and joy.
