Love is a beautiful journey, and for Jessica and Aaron, that journey led them to the breathtaking Morton Arboretum. As a wedding photographer, I had the honor of documenting their special day. It was filled with cherished moments, laughter, and pure romance. From the heartwarming proposal story to the unforgettable wedding day, their love story unfolded like a fairytale. Let me tell you more about capturing love at Morton Arboretum.

The Perfect Proposal

It all began in 2021 when the couple embarked on a vacation to the sunny shores of Florida. Jessica had a hunch that this trip held something extraordinary, but she had no idea why. On their first day, as they admired the picturesque ocean view from their balcony, Aaron surprised her. With a heart full of love, he knelt down on one knee and asked Jessica to be his wife. Overwhelmed with joy, she immediately said yes, beginning their exciting journey toward matrimony.

An Unexpected Dress

As the wedding planning began, one of Jessica’s co-workers recommended Grace & Lace Bridal in Richmond, IL for dress shopping. Knowing the owner was a talented seamstress, Jessica was intrigued and decided to give it a try. Along with two other stores, they set out on a quest to find the perfect dress. Grace & Lace Bridal was their first stop. Jessica initially had her mind set on an A-line gown, as it had always been the most flattering silhouette.

However, fate had something different in store for her. Jessica’s Maid of Honor, sensing her friend’s hesitations, pulled out a dress that deviated from her usual style. It was a form-fitting gown with a plunging neckline. Although uncertain, Jessica decided to give it a chance. They visited the other stores but couldn’t shake the feeling that those dresses weren’t quite right. Trusting her gut, Jessica returned to Grace & Lace Bridal to try on her top picks, including the dress her Maid of Honor chose. After a conversation with the shop owner, Jessica knew deep within her heart that it was the one. Unlike the others, it made her feel undeniably bridal and radiantly beautiful.

The Wedding Day

The long-awaited wedding day arrived, and Jessica and Aaron chose to break away from tradition. They spent the night together and enjoyed a leisurely breakfast, relishing in each other’s company. This decision was a testament to their deep bond and friendship, as they wanted to ease any anxiety and nerves that may have otherwise overshadowed their special day. Opting for a first look, they shared an incredibly emotional and intimate moment, reinforcing the unbreakable connection they had cultivated over six remarkable years. The weight lifted, and the rest of the day flowed with ease, allowing them to fully embrace and cherish every second.

Amidst all the magical moments that unfolded, one stands out—their private photo session as a newly married couple. This serene time allowed Jessica and Aaron to bask in each other’s presence, relishing in the joy and excitement of finally being wed. As I was capturing love at Morton Arboretum through the lens, their laughter and genuine affection radiated, creating timeless memories they will cherish forever.

After the heartfelt ceremony and delightful celebrations, the newlyweds found a moment of respite, where they finally had a chance to enjoy a refreshing drink and mingle with their loved ones. It was a time of pure bliss, as they reveled in the company of their beloved family and friends, surrounded by an atmosphere of love and support.

A True Love Story

As their wedding photographer, I felt incredibly privileged to witness the unfolding of Jessica and Aaron’s love story. From the captivating proposal that started it all, to the joyous celebration at Morton.
