From meeting on Bumble, bonding on Tough Mudder, to finally celebrating their wedding at the Hilton. This is our lovely couple, Dana and Anthony.
As a wedding photographer, a vital part of our job is capturing our Chicago couples’ big day in all its glory. The joy, the panache, the fun, and the love, all need to come across vividly in the albums of our couples. And we mention this because, while looking back over the photography from Dana and Anthony’s wedding, we were struck with how strongly their images brought back feelings from their special day. A day that was just so sophisticated, and chic, yet warmly loving, and super goofy! They were a charming Chicago couple to capture, and today we’re so pleased to be sharing their wedding photography.
Dana and Anthony tied the knot back in September 2021, and they married traditionally in a Catholic Church in Oak Forest. But their very moving ceremony was a far cry from where this couple became emotionally united in the earlier stages of their relationship, training for Tough Mudder. This extreme assault course (look it up, it’s crazy!) was a massive challenge for both Dana and Anthony. And to complete it, they needed support from each other not just on the day, but also during the arduous daily training. Together, they succeeded, and in doing so, found that they were a perfect match for each other.
The ceremony, as we said, was emotional, with many a family member brought to tears. And Anthony himself was unable to hide his emotions as he saw Dana for the first time, walking down the aisle. It was so sweet! As too were the flower girls and page boys, walking together arm in arm, looking so smart!
Following the exchange of vows, it was time to celebrate! But not before we captured the mood, and created some fun portraits with the bride and groom and their loved ones. They were such great sports, and as you can see from the images, they could all turn from super cool, to super wacky, just like that!
During the wedding reception at the Hilton Garden Inn, we were treated to some spectacular entertainment, all courtesy of the Bluewater Kings Band. An ensemble who somehow managed to bring even more energy to this excitable wedding party! The band were a lot of fun, and their emcee in particular was incredible at keeping the party flowing. Plus, they provided the soundtrack to the couple’s first dance, an exceptionally sweet and fun moment, which also made us truly appreciate how gorgeous Dana’s wedding dress was! A spectacular, sweeping and delicately detailed ballgown from Milla Nova that really took our breath away.
It was a dream day photographing the wedding of Dana and Anthony, and one we feel blessed to have been able to capture. It would be an honor to become a part of your wedding team, and create that timeless keepsake of your big day that you’ll love forever.
